Upcoming Honda Elevate SUV To Miss Out On This Important Feature

Honda Elevate SUV has been officially confirmed to make its debut on June 6th this year. Rival to the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos SUVs, Elevate will go on sale in India by August and will also be headed to several international markets post its debut in the country. The biggest launch for Honda in India, the upcoming Elevate SUV has now been teased once again ahead of its debut.
What’s missing?
As per the latest teaser where the roof of the SUV is partially visible, the upcoming Elevate SUV will miss out on the panoramic sunroof feature and will only come with a single pane sunroof. However, what needs to be noted is that some of its direct competitors such as the Creta, Grand Vitara and the Toyota Hyryder already offer a full-size panoramic sunroof. Also, while the current Kia Seltos is available only with a single pane sunroof, it will be upgraded with a bigger panoramic unit with the next update which is likely to arrive in the country this summer.

The new Honda Elevate is most likely to be introduced with a single 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine. The carmaker may also introduce a hybrid setup on the car in the later stage. This petrol powertrain will be the one borrowed over from the City sedan where it is tuned to produce 121 bhp of power and 145 Nm of torque. In terms of transmission options, expect the car to either come with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox options.
In terms of length and overall dimensions, expect the Honda Elevate to come stretching close to 4.3 metres in length, something close to a Creta and Seltos in terms of physical presence.
Elevate will lock horns with the Creta and Seltos and will thus be priced accordingly. Expect a price band of something ranging from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
